Agency receives top honors as a Platinum Well Workplace for its efforts and innovations in workplace health promotion.
In December 2020, the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) with local affiliate Wellness Council of Wisconsin (WCWI), awarded Core Health a platinum distinction — the highest level of recognition —Well Workplace Award, recognizing the agency for its commitment to the health and well-being of its employees. As designated by WCWI, “Platinum Well Workplaces have distinguished themselves as not only leaders but innovators in workplace health promotion.”
As a healthcare marketing firm, Core Health abides by its “Say It. Live It.” philosophy for marketing, aligning its external brand with its internal practices. In addition to a dedicated wellness team that actively promotes healthy habits including good nutrition, exercise and mental health among employees, Core also maintains a number of other culture teams. Each of these teams undertakes a unique focus, from ongoing education (Core Gives) and philanthropy (Core Gives) to fostering employee connections while working remotely (Core Connects). These combined efforts to promote a culture of wellness help Core achieve a higher level of employee satisfaction and engagement, as well as consistent honors from organizations like WELCOA and the American Heart Association.
Promoting wellness across our organization and participation in our culture teams creates a workplace where employees can continue to grow and thrive. Supporting their wellbeing enables them to do their best work for our clients. We always say that we offer solutions that help people live healthier, more purposeful lives. There’s no doubt this same philosophy applies to our employees as well
The Well Workplace Awards initiative is driven by a rigorous set of criteria outlined in WELCOA’s seven benchmarks to a result-oriented Well Workplace. Benchmarks include: committed and aligned leadership; collaboration in support of wellness; collecting meaningful data to evolve a wellness strategy; crafting an operating plan; choosing initiatives to support the whole employee; cultivating supportive health-promoting environments, policies and practices; and conducting evaluations, communication, celebrations and iterations. By maintaining multiple employee-led culture teams, Core Health proved its efficacy and innovation in each of these areas.
Core Health has clearly demonstrated their commitment to protect and enhance the health and well-being of their employees. By meeting the comprehensive standards necessary to achieve the Platinum Well Workplace Award, Core is prioritizing the well-being of their employees as a foundation of their culture.
